2–4 October 2026 | Lord Charles Hotel, Somerset West, South Africa
Anatomex was delighted to make its congress exhibition debut at ENT Congress 2026, held from 2–4 October at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West.
The congress, which featured masterclasses in Otology, Rhinology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Paediatric ENT, brought together approximately 200 ENT specialists and provided an exciting opportunity to showcase our growing range of anatomically accurate, 3D-printed surgical simulation models.
Hands-on surgical simulation at ENT Congress 2026
Our stand attracted enthusiastic interest, with delegates exploring and interacting with models designed to support surgical education, anatomical understanding and practical skills development.
Highlights included the Bookface Sinus Model and the Transorbital Surgical Simulation Model, designed for training in endoscopic transorbital approaches.
Our range of otology models also generated considerable interest, including models developed for mastoid surgery, grommet insertion, ossiculoplasty and cochlear implant training.
It was particularly rewarding to see surgeons engaging directly with the models, examining their anatomical detail and discussing their potential applications in surgical training.
The 90-Second Airway Challenge!
One of the highlights of the congress was our interactive 90-Second Airway Challenge, hosted in partnership with KARL STORZ.
Using the Anatomex Air41 Airway Simulation Model, participants were challenged to retrieve as many foreign bodies as possible from the distal trachea and bronchi in just 90 seconds.
The competition generated plenty of excitement and friendly rivalry, providing an entertaining demonstration of endoscopic skills and the value of hands-on simulation.
Congratulations to Dr A Mughal, who emerged victorious after successfully retrieving seven foreign bodies in 90 seconds, winning a R500 Takealot voucher!
A special thank you to KARL STORZ, our official challenge partner, for generously providing the endoscopic instrumentation, equipment and camera stack that made the competition possible.
An exciting first for Anatomex
Our first congress exhibition was a wonderful success, providing valuable opportunities to connect with ENT surgeons, demonstrate our models and hear feedback from clinicians across the different ENT subspecialties.
We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who visited our stand, explored our models and participated in the Airway Challenge.
We look forward to building on these conversations as we continue developing innovative, accessible surgical simulation models to support ENT education, skills development and training.
