Orbital Retractor Set – Surgical Simulation Instruments
The Anatomex 3D Orbital Retractor Set is a collection of stainless steel hand-held retractors designed specifically for surgical simulation and training. Developed to complement the Anatomex 3D Transorbital Surgical Model, these retractors enable clear tissue displacement and improved visualisation during simulated orbital and skull-base procedures.
Each retractor is carefully shaped and polished to provide a comfortable grip and smooth retraction, allowing for realistic practice of transorbital and skull-base approaches. The set includes three retractors in graduated widths – 8 mm, 12 mm, and 16 mm – and a length of 20 cm, giving users the flexibility to select the ideal width for their needs.
Stainless steel for repeated use
Crafted from stainless steel of roughly 1,5 mm thick, the retractors deliver the weight, balance, and tactile feedback expected of surgical instruments, yet are very affordably priced for simulation environments. When looked after correctly (washed and dried after each use) their durability ensures they can withstand repeated use in workshops, laboratories and training settings without compromising performance.
Cost-effective training solution
Unlike medical-grade retractors, which are designed for operating theatres and carry a significantly higher cost, these instruments are purpose-built for educational and demonstration use only. They provide an accessible, cost-effective solution for institutions, surgeons and medical device educators seeking realistic tools for hands-on practice.
The Anatomex 3D Orbital Retractor Set is ideal for:
- Endoscopic orbital and skull-base simulation
- Demonstrations with anatomical or synthetic models
- Surgical skills workshops offering both cadaver and cadaver-free training
- Academic teaching
Important Notice: The Anatomex 3D Orbital Retractors are intended for surgical simulation and educational use only. They must not be used on live patients.
Anatomex 3D designs and manufactures advanced surgical simulation models and instruments to enhance medical education and procedural training worldwide. The Orbital Retractor Surgical Simulation Set continues this mission – offering high-quality, accessible tools that bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering surgeons to refine technique and confidence before entering the operating room.
